Employees need to feel valued by their employer, it's a cliche but it's true. Good news though, the valued employee will pay the company back by performing better at work, being more dedicated to the company values and ultimately they will want to help improve the bottom line.

That's all very well, but WHAT type of event is going to help promote that feeling of being valued. While it's true that a few drinks after work really helps to build friendships between colleagues & through those friendships it improves communication, does it really build a team that will work WITH the management and help drive the business in the right direction?
